We wanted to contribute something colorful to the “Hessentag 2017” in Rüsselsheim. The idea: primary school students paint their “picture of Rüsselsheim” – we make a beautiful calendar out of it. The response was overwhelming! More than 400 pictures were created, all Rüsselsheim primary schools took part: Albrecht-Dürer-Schule, Eichgrundschule, Georg-Büchner-Schule, Goetheschule, Grundschule Hasengrund, Grundschule Innenstadt, Grundschule Königstädten, Otto-Hahn-Schule and Schillerschule. The net proceeds from the project will flow back to the schools – “Art promotes education”.
Our "turnaround calendar" was valid for 2017 and 2018 and was therefore still viable for the "Hessentag 2017". The calendar pages for 2017 show a colorful cross-section of the diverse works. 2018 is reserved for works by class 3a of the Eich primary school, which turned our idea into a special art project. Under the leadership of art teacher Julia Einsiedel, pictures were created that, in our eyes, have a very unique profile. We would like to thank all the students who took part - and of course the teachers and head teachers too.
